Payroll Specialist – Join Our Team

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage and execute payroll processes with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and labor laws while maintaining precise payroll records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Manage and execute weekly and monthly payroll runs, ensure tax and labor law compliance, verify and approve overtime, and resolve payroll queries.
  2. Employee Benefits Administration: Oversee medical aid and pension fund applications, assist with the Two-Pot Retirement System, and reconcile benefits contributions.
  3. Employee Records & Systems: Maintain accurate employee records in the Simple payroll system and verify banking details for correct payments.
  4. Contract & Termination Processing: Handle new employee onboarding, contract terminations, and final payroll payments.
  5. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit payroll reports, ensure SARS and UIF compliance, analyze payroll costs, and reconcile Time & Attendance (T&A) system data.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Matric (Grade 12) required; Diploma or Degree in Finance, Payroll, or a related field preferred.
  2. Experience: Prior payroll experience is advantageous.
  3. Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Experience with payroll software (e.g., Simple), Time & Attendance systems, and Excel proficiency.
