Rigger

Requires a Rigger who is able to work well under pressure, independently and with a team. SNR is a Mechanical and Electrical company, working with Pumps, Motors, Valves, Sewer Treatment Plants, Water Treatment plants, Generators, and Boreholes. The candidate must be a responsible individual, and the successful candidate will be appointed on a 36-month term contract.

Role Description

This is a 36-month term contract based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The Rigger will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to rigging equipment, lifting and moving heavy objects, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The successful candidate will be responsible for rigging, rigging equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and rigging maintenance & repair tasks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  1. Rigging experience and proficiency in lifting heavy objects
  2. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
  3. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  4. Physical strength and dexterity
  5. Certifications in rigging and lifting operations
  6. Experience in the electrical or mechanical industry is a plus
  7. A valid Rigger competence certificate (compulsory)
  8. Proof of industrial experience, a minimum of 3 years is required (compulsory)
  9. Letter from a rigging sub-contractor as proof (compulsory)
