EXTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – PRETORIA

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of External Sales Representative for the Pretoria branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to actively seek out and engage both existing and new customer prospects and provide solutions for customers in order to boost revenue growth.

Your areas of responsibility:

  1. Maintain sales and support to existing clients in the area allocated.
  2. Compile an accurate and comprehensive database on customers and their relationships/influences.
  3. Generate growth of allocated and new customer base.
  4. Prepare and conduct presentations to customers.
  5. Conduct exhibitions and customer-specific training if required.
  6. Prepare and report on sales for your area allocated.
  7. Attend key project or customer meetings.
  8. Report on competitor activities in the area.
  9. Compile monthly sales review and forecasts against agreed targets.
  10. Perform other duties as directed by management.
  11. Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs.
  12. Promote customer understanding of the full product offering and align to provide a solution.
  13. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  14. Consult with Specifiers, Influencers, and Engineering Consultants in the area.

Qualifications we are looking for:

  1. A valid Grade 12 certificate is a MUST.
  2. A tertiary technical qualification, preferably in the Electrical Field, is an ADVANTAGE.
  3. A minimum of 3-4 years of Electrical Sales experience.
  4. Knowledge of the electrical industry.
  5. Valid driver's license is a MUST.
  6. Computer literate – preference will be given to users with strong K8 knowledge.
