We're seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales & Business Development Manager who is excited to tackle the challenge of expanding our presence across African markets. In this role, you will be expected to achieve key milestones such as increasing revenue from financial institutions and affinity markets, securing high-value partnerships, and driving API solution sales. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our business development strategy, leveraging your expertise in fintech and B2B sales to drive measurable impact.
In this role, you will:Develop and execute sales strategies to drive market expansion and revenue growth.
Identify and secure high-value partnerships, negotiating business terms to maximise commercial impact.
Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, ensuring a strong portfolio of prospective clients.
Drive full-cycle B2B sales, from lead generation to closing deals, with a focus on API solutions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and key stakeholders in the fintech ecosystem.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform business development initiatives.
Prepare and present strategic reports to senior leadership, demonstrating progress and opportunities for growth.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, including product and compliance, to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate pipeline reports and ensure partner success through ongoing engagement and relationship management.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying their needs and offering tailored solutions to drive business outcomes.
Developing and implementing targeted sales plans to achieve business growth objectives.
Driving new business revenues from financial institutions, fintechs, and other key segments.
Negotiating complex contracts and securing long-term commercial agreements.
Monitoring and evaluating sales performance, taking proactive steps to optimise results.
Expanding Verto's footprint in Africa by leveraging existing networks and identifying new market opportunities.
5+ years of experience in business development or senior sales roles in a global context.
Proven experience in Africa, with an established network and understanding of the business landscape.
Extensive B2B sales experience, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
Strong ability to interact with executives and influence strategic decision-making.
In-depth understanding of the fintech and cryptocurrency sectors, particularly in payments and API-driven solutions.
Experience in client management, distribution channel development, and partnership management.
RE5 certification is mandatory.
A degree is required, preferably in business, finance, or a related field.
Experience working in a licensed Financial Services Provider (FSP) is essential.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
