Part-Time Event Planner & Administrator

Location: Durban North

About the Role:

As a Part-Time Event Planner & Administrator at Bosse Events, you'll be at the heart of our operations, assisting our very busy team in playing a crucial role in bringing exciting event concepts to life. This role is perfect for someone who loves variety and thrives on managing both administrative and on-site event tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the team on all administrative and marketing-related work.
  • Communicate confidently with clients, suppliers, and vendors via phone and email.
  • Draft quotes for client approval and send them once finalized.
  • Manage phone calls, respond to emails, and provide client liaison.
  • Keep our Trello boards up-to-date and complete daily tasks.
  • Attend site meetings to take notes, photos, and measurements, and update client folders.
  • Manage all events for efficient team collaboration.
  • Make proactive sales calls and pitches to generate new business.
  • Help organize our inventory, prep event items, and assist with set-up and take-down at events.
  • Respond to social media messages and comments, and assist with content moderation on Instagram and Facebook.
  • Go venue scouting and attend site visits as needed.

What We're Looking For/Must-Have Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle for work-related errands. (petrol allowance given)
  • Must be able to commute to our offices in Durban North.
  • A flexible work schedule, fully committed to a roster of 2-3 days per week.
  • Strong communication, sales, and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in event planning is preferred.
  • Social media content creation experience is a plus

Payment Structure: R400 per day worked, working 2-3 days per week during our quiet season, with the opportunity to join our full-time team from June.

Commission Structure: Attractive commission offered for planners working on quotes and leads.

Please note this is a part-time role, working 2-3 days a week, with the potential to be part of our full-time team from June. We are looking to build a full-time team for this year, based on performance. Please DO NOT apply to this role unless you meet the above criteria (can travel to our office on rostered days, have your own vehicle, and can work with a part-time role for now.)
