Business Development Manager : Recruitment

Location: Indsafri, City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

INDSAFRI is looking for an ideal candidate who will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Role : BDM (Recruitment)

Type : Full-time, Work from office

Responsibilities:

  1. Onboard new clients by signing Master Services Agreement (MSA) / Preferred Suppliers List (PSL) to enable Indsafri to perform business / project transactions with that specific client.
  2. Develop quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
  3. Drive and ensure the successful contract negotiations or business deals that the corporation may enter.
  4. Support the directors as required in various initiatives.
  5. Research prospective accounts in target markets, developing growth strategies and plans to increase the client base.
  6. Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.
  7. Write business proposals, draft, and review contracts.
  8. Negotiate with stakeholders.
  9. Report on successes and areas needing improvements.
  10. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
  11. Pursue leads and move them through the sales cycle.
  12. Set goals for the business development team and develop strategies to meet those goals.
  13. Provide management and support for new business pipeline development in consultation with the Directors.
  14. Manage and retain relationships with existing clients, ensuring their expectations are met at all times.
  15. Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  16. Measure the performance of the company in terms of revenue, cost, and productivity.
  17. Benchmark the KPIs in terms of revenue, cost, and productivity during the second year and then implement necessary accelerators to improve efficiency / net profit.
  18. Mentor and interact with members of staff at all levels to foster growth and encourage development among the senior executive team and all members of staff.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven experience in business development or recruitment, ideally within the banking or financial services sector.
  3. 9+ years' prior industry-related business development experience.
