A wonderful company based in Bryanston is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper.

Duties:
  1. Maintain accurate financial records, including daily transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualifications (e.g., Bookkeeping Certificate, Diploma in Accounting).
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, with specific expertise in Xero accounting software.
  3. Experience in payroll processing, especially knowledge of South African payroll and tax legislation.
  4. Experience in debtors' management, including invoicing, collection, and reporting.
  5. Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential (Xero certification is an advantage).
  6. Experience using payroll systems such as SimplePay, Sage Payroll, or others.
  7. Solid knowledge of South African tax laws, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
  8. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  9. Knowledge of debtor management processes and tools.
  10. Experience in a client-facing role, particularly dealing with financial matters.
  11. Knowledge of accounting best practices in South African businesses.
  12. Familiarity with additional accounting software beyond Xero (e.g., QuickBooks, Pastel).

  5. Ethical: High level of integrity and trustworthiness when handling sensitive financial information.
