About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Risk Analyst to join their risk management department in Pretoria. This role is critical for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential financial and operational risks across the organization. You will utilize sophisticated modeling techniques and data analysis to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making and protect the company's assets. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to identify potential threats.
- Analyze financial data, market trends, and operational processes to quantify risk exposure.
- Create risk models and conduct scenario analysis to predict potential impacts on the business.
- Develop strategies and recommendations for mitigating identified risks and enhancing business continuity.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management on risk exposure and mitigation plans.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in risk management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Risk Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong quantitative and statistical modeling skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
