About the Role

Our client is seeking a nurturing and dynamic Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitator to join their vibrant preschool in Nelspruit . This role focuses on creating a stimulating and safe environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow through play-based activities. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate educational programs that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This position is perfect for a passionate educator dedicated to laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning within the Mpumalanga community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities for young children aged 3-5 years.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
  • Monitor and assess children's development, maintaining records of progress and observations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other ECD practitioners to share best practices and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards for childcare settings.

Requirements

  • A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (e.g., NQF Level 4/5) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an ECD setting with young children.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early learning.
