Introduction: An exciting Facilities Supervisor opportunity for overseeing the maintenance and operation of buildings and equipment, coordinating repairs, enforcing safety measures, and managing a team of maintenance personnel based at Centurion Distribution Centre.

The role will report directly to the Facilities Manager.

Job Purpose : Effectively manage company assets and provide a safe working environment at all sites.

Job Objectives :

  1. Effective management of Facilities, Contractors & Service Provider Staff and all resources and aspects relating to these departments at Centurion DC site.
  2. Assist with the implementation of complete safety policies and committees in accordance with OHSAct.
  3. Building and maintaining processes and procedures for each role within the department.
  4. Ensure that the facility is properly maintained and repaired on an ongoing basis.
  5. Implement and maintain safety and security protocols to protect the facility and its occupants, including fire safety, emergency preparedness, and access control.
  6. Ensure effective stakeholder communication, both internally and externally.
  7. Implement a proactive land and building maintenance program.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases; continuously improve the data captured, stored, and reported.
  9. Administration & Management of the Facilities and 4Me for services & facilities to provide management with effective and accurate reporting.
  10. Effective management and training of the staff, complete KPAs for all staff timeously, indicating needs for training and development, performance management.
  11. Ensure professional and efficient customer contact.
  12. Provide monthly reports to the Department Head.
  13. Cost Centre accountability and management.

Qualifications and Experience :

Tertiary Education in a similar field.
Minimum 5 years experience in a Junior / managerial position.
5 years experience in a Facilities Management Environment.
