Key Purpose

Increase the sales of the product range through building relationships, superior client service and technical knowledge.

Areas of Responsibility may include but are not limited to:

  1. Increased Discovery Health product sales through building relationships, superior client service and technical expertise.
  2. Create strategic business partnerships with multiple intermediary stakeholders.
  3. Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Project management of new business process, from end to end.
  5. Intermediary reporting and trend analysis.
  6. Consistently deliver Discovery Health value proposition.
  7. Escalated query resolution and troubleshooting.
  8. Review new business pipeline, follow-up, and tracking.
  9. Issuing of quotations.
  10. Technical training and ongoing product support to financial advisors.
  11. Keeping up to date with competitor product and service offering and industry developments.
  12. Participating in proactive sales and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. 3-5 years medical scheme industry experience (required).
  2. Business degree (advantageous).
  3. RE5 (preferable).
  4. NQF5 in Wealth Management or Financial Planning / 120 FAIS credits (preferable).
  5. Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  6. Sales experience (advantageous).
  7. Relevant financial services industry experience is advantageous.

Experience

  1. Relevant financial services industry experience is advantageous.
  2. Sound health industry experience.
  3. Adviser consulting experience in the financial services industry.
  4. An understanding of financial planning.

Requirements

  1. Valid driver's license and insured and reliable car.
  2. Smart-phone.
  3. Willingness to travel.
