Job Description

Due to the continuing success and growth of our team, this fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning specialist consultancy, engineering, and advisory firm.

At AESG, we are looking for a Facade Designer to support the Facade division and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of façade design. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating technical engineering solutions and a willingness to work across multiple large-scale projects.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Façade Designer seeking a position within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering that provides a significant opportunity for progression and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery and execution of projects to a high level of quality within project deadlines
2. Developing system drawings and specifications with supervision
3. Proven competence and technical expertise in façade design
4. Preparation of RIBA stage reports during project design
5. Developing BMU strategies during the project design
6. Guiding junior team members within the project team
7. Assisting in preparing proposals and quotations for new opportunities
8. Seeking opportunities for repeat work and extension of work scope on projects

Minimum Requirements:

1. BSc or MSc in Architecture or similar.
2. A minimum of 2 years of façade design and engineering experience
3. Ability to work successfully in a collaborative team-oriented environment
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
5. Ability to independently represent AESG
6. Understanding of AESG's liabilities and interests of various stakeholders within the project
7. Participation in general business development and cultivation of new and existing client contacts
