Introduction My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. Qualifications & Experience Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related field Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification required Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT industry, including at least 5 years in software development Proven success managing end-to-end IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies Experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industry (advantageous) Skilled in working with diverse stakeholders (local and international) Strong track record using JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools Solid understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and IT governance frameworks Responsibilities Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget Track progress, manage risks, and ensure all milestones are met Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders Communicate updates, risks, and dependencies clearly and consistently Allocate and manage resources efficiently across projectsIdentify, monitor, and mitigate project risks proactively Ensure deliverables meet required quality and business standards Conduct post-project reviews and apply lessons learned to future initiatives Mentor and guide project team members, promoting collaboration and accountability Foster an Agile, growth-oriented, and high-performance team culture Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices Competency Framework Drives Results: Delivers outcomes that meet time, cost, and quality goals Client Focus: Keeps business and client needs central to decisions Collaboration: Builds strong relationships and promotes teamwork Adaptability: Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and environments Decision Quality: Uses sound judgment in complex, fast-moving situations Project Oversight: Skilled in planning, tracking, and reporting across portfolios Organizational Savvy: Understands business structures and navigates effectively Leadership: Inspires, motivates, and guides teams toward success If you are ready for the next exciting step in your career, and would like to apply, please send us your updated CV for review. #J-18808-Ljbffr
