Senior Strategy Analyst – Banking Sector

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg Contract Term: 12 Months (Renewable) Industry: Banking Sector Rate: Competitive hourly rate (Based on experience) Our client within the Banking sector is looking for the expertise of a Senior Strategy Analyst to join their team. Job Purpose Provide strategic development, planning and communication to align with the organization’s Corporate and Investment Banking’s (CIB) organizational goals with market positioning, driving impact both internally and externally. Job Responsibilities Support the delivery of Corporate and Investment Banking’s (CIB’s) long- and short-term strategy process as well as any strategic projects that align with the cluster’s goals and market opportunities Lead and facilitate strategic brainstorming sessions and discussions across CIB Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on strategic matters Provide strategic insights and thought leadership aligned to the strategic planning process Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and initiatives, making adjustments as needed to ensure their success Create strategic progress and performance reports for senior stakeholders on a regular basis Act as the custodian of all strategic messaging, providing input and ensuring consistency across events, awards, induction and internal communications Partner and collaborate with business units to align strategic content as required Foster innovative approaches to problem-solving, leveraging both data and intuition Challenge assumptions and conventional thinking to unlock creative solutions Stakeholder engagement Build and maintain strong working relationships with CIB and Group stakeholders in a way that results in aligned thinking Partner with cross-functional teams to gather diverse perspectives and ensure alignment Act as a liaison between the CEO’s office, the strategy team and the Business Unit’s to streamline communication for various projects and initiatives Share information in different ways to increase stakeholders understanding Strong ability to articulate ideas and persuade stakeholders Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders Team culture Inspire team members by fostering a culture of curiosity and strategic thinking Create a client service culture and be willing to support across the team where required Encourage open communication and cross-functional teamwork to align efforts and achieve shared goals Promote a shared understanding of CIB’s shared vision and how individual contributions support it Minimum Experience Level 3-5 years of experience in analytical and strategic environment. Preferred Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in BSC, BCOM, BA, Engineering or related qualification Preferred Certifications MBA, CFA Type of Exposure Banking and / or consulting experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop data-driven insights Excellent research and data analysis abilities, with proficiency in using analytical tools and software Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to different stakeholders Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of key strategic concepts and frameworks Behavioural Competencies Aligning Performance for Success Building Partnerships Decision Making Business Acumen Managing Relationships Planning and Organising #J-18808-Ljbffr
