Location Spain – Valencia or South Africa – Cape Town What the Role Delivers We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Senior Data Analyst to bridge data analytics, business process management, and project coordination. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, designing data solutions, and supporting continuous improvement across data management and reporting functions. Key Responsibilities Partner with internal stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and reporting requirements. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations using Power BI, Excel, or Tableau. Create mock‑ups, process flow diagrams, and documentation to translate business needs into actionable solutions. Maintain and update data documentation, business glossaries, and reporting guides to support governance and transparency. Participate in and sometimes lead project management activities—tracking deliverables, timelines, and milestones. Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, including data cleanup, validation, and maintenance of data integrity across systems. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing processes and propose enhancements or automation opportunities. Collaborate with IT, data governance, and business teams to improve data accessibility, visibility, and quality. Provide ad‑hoc analysis and insights to support decision‑making and strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with data standards, governance frameworks, and reporting best practices. Who to Work With All business units Internal stakeholders External vendors How We Work Accountability for Results Mindset for Growth Customer Centricity One AgroFresh Owns the Talent What the Job Requires Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or similar role. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into data insights. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and at least one data visualisation tool (Power BI, Tableau or similar). Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for documentation and project coordination. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. What to Have Done and Know How to Do Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools and data governance frameworks. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar). Exposure to data quality, lineage, and metadata management practices. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, or MS Project). Knowledge of database structures, ETL processes, or automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Alteryx). Experience working in a collaborative Agile product team. Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving and learning skills. Flexibility to change direction of work as projects develop. Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills. Bias for action, with ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritisation and time management. Number sense; healthy scepticism around validity of data and its inherent biases. Intellectual humility to leverage the expertise of others.
