SHERQ Officer - 12 months' contract 18 February 2025

POSITION: SHERQ Officer (12 months' contract)

INDUSTRY: Automotive Industry

SALARIES: Up to R30k p/m

AREA: East Rand

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that the ISO System & audits are carried out & the results correctly reported on
  2. Ensure NCR system updated and documented in line with LOF from audit and internal non-conformances
  3. Conduct and report weekly and monthly 5S, housekeeping and safety check audits – follow up on corrective action taken for effectiveness
  4. Oversee and assist in the development and implementation of ISO 14001
  5. Oversee that the SHE audits are carried out and distributed
  6. Provide for total quality management practices and guidance, and ensure ISO compliance (ensure training schedule planned and implemented)
  7. Analyse results, report back, and add to non-conformances via management meetings/review/action room
  8. Continuous improvement with suppliers on compliance with QMS and SHE policies – conduct regular audits off site with supplier visits (process verification and safety)
  9. Ensure that the work instructions, procedures and process documentation are completed, updated and distributed and uploaded onto the QMS system (Intranet)
  10. Conduct training on procedures, processes and work instructions to employees
  11. Manage financial budgets for safety and security
  12. Conduct time and work studies when required e.g. Ergonomic requirements, etc
  13. Manage NCR system (non-conformances) – recognition of non-conformances and manage the implementation of counter measures
  14. Ensure that the rectification is made and that all personnel are notified timeously
  15. Development and implementation of quality management systems
  16. Development and implementation of Environment Management systems
  17. Ensure that Corporate Responsibility Reporting (MAN Policy 10.4) is conducted and reported quarterly with main focus on environmental topics to Germany (PCWE)
  18. Ensuring that safe work practices are followed and that Health and Safety improvement measures are implemented and maintained
  19. ISO and Risk Audits (Internal and external certification)
  20. Ensure that SHERQ reports are prepared and distributed for action and information
Qualifications & Experience required:
  1. Grade: 12 Matric Certificate
  2. National Diploma: Industrial Engineering or Quality Assurance or equivalent
  3. Minimum 5-year experience in the Automotive Industry
  4. Minimum 5 years' managerial experience
  5. Minimum 5 years' experience in quality management systems for example ISO9001, ISO14001, OHS18001
  6. Knowledge of OHS ACT with suitable training for example SAMTRAC
