Job Description:

We are actively searching for a Technical Assistant at the TGIS Helpdesk for IMIS who is willing to learn and grow within the company. As Technical assistant you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to clients using our Integrated Management Information System

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or helpdesk ticketing system.

– Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to the IMIS platform.

– Guide users on system functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting steps.

– Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex issues.

– Document helpdesk interactions, technical solutions, and user feedback.

– Assist in testing software updates, patches, and new features before deployment.

– Contribute to knowledge base articles and training materials for users.

– Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.

– Willing to be available after hours and over weekends for standby and support.

 

Qualifications and skillset:

– Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

– Proven experience in technical support, helpdesk operations, or IT customer service.

– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

– Familiarity with database management, software troubleshooting, and system configurations.

– Knowledge of GIS software and applications is advantageous.

– Certification in relevant technical fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is preferred (Not compulsory)

– Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented approach.

 

Salary: Negotiable (based on knowledge and experience)
