About the Role

Our client is seeking a responsible and engaging Aftercare Facilitator to join their team in Bloemfontein. This role focuses on providing a safe, supervised, and enriching environment for school-aged children after regular school hours. You will be responsible for overseeing homework, organizing recreational activities, and ensuring the general well-being of the children. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and skilled at managing groups of children, fostering a positive atmosphere where they can relax, learn, and play after their school day.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise school-aged children during aftercare hours, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed. Organize and lead recreational activities , games, and crafts. Maintain a structured yet fun environment that caters to the needs of children of various ages. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Ensure the aftercare facility is kept clean, tidy, and well-organized. Requirements Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an aftercare or youth program setting. Good understanding of child behavior and development for this age group. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to engage children in positive activities and manage group dynamics effectively. Patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for working with children. First Aid or CPR certification is advantageous. Benefits Competitive hourly wage.
