The incumbent will primarily support the Dispatch function by loading goods issued by Stores to plants, departments, and SANBS mobile and fixed clinics. Responsibilities include housekeeping, loading and offloading goods from delivery or collection vehicles, and supporting related store functions. Key Performance Areas Effectively and efficiently support the dispatch function Liaise with Dispatch Administrator and ensure housekeeping Support related activities KPA 1: Support the dispatch function Collect processed orders from the assembly area. Conduct visual inspections on goods to be dispatched. Confirm issued goods with reference to goods issue slips. Organize goods on pallets according to the dispatch schedule. Stage goods for final approval following laid-down procedures. Report discrepancies and refer issues to the Stores Supervisor. Assist with loading goods into collection vehicles manually or using forklifts or stackers. KPA 2: Liaise with Dispatch Administrator and maintain housekeeping Coordinate with the Dispatch Administrator regarding order preparation as per broadcast schedule. Generate waybills and record goods to be dispatched as required. Label goods adequately for dispatch. Sort and stage plastic pallets for reuse. Sort and store wooden pallets in designated outside areas. Maintain cleanliness of the office workspace. Assist the Dispatch Administrator in resolving delivery queries. KPA 3: Support related activities Assist with stock takes during annual, monthly, or cycle counts. Help load and unload goods using forklifts or stackers. Perform other store-related duties such as stock picking or put-away as needed. Comply with all relevant Stores SOPs and other SOPs affecting the Stores Department. Personal Attributes: Ethical behavior, excellence orientation, drive for results. Interpersonal Skills: Teamwork, communication. Technical Skills: Stores and inventory management skills. Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 qualification. 3 to 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
