Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of greenhouse operations, including planting, propagation, cultivation, and harvesting. Manage and maintain environmental controls such as temperature, humidity, lighting, and irrigation systems. Implement integrated pest and disease management (IPM) strategies to ensure plant health. Monitor plant growth and development, making adjustments as needed to optimize conditions. Maintain accurate records of crop production, inputs, and pest/disease occurrences. Supervise and train greenhouse staff on horticultural practices and safety procedures. Requirements A degree or diploma in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, or a related field. Proven experience in commercial horticulture, particularly in greenhouse management. In-depth knowledge of plant physiology, propagation techniques, and nutrient management. Familiarity with greenhouse environmental control systems and IPM strategies. Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
