Job Specification Reporting to the Group Manager Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for collecting, organising, analysing and reporting financial and management information in the department or division. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial accounts, establishing accounting policies/procedures and financial records. Minimum Requirements Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification 4 years related experience in similar position Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and financial regulations Experience in Compliance of JSE requirements Proficiency in using financial software and accounting systems Ability to effectively communicate and/or negotiate with high level of proficiency at all levels Key performance indicators The GOLD business imperatives displayed below are to be used as key indicators in sourcing competent candidates for this critical role. Growth Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability improvement Ability to execute in a diverse environment by building a deep understanding of the company's products and consumers to develop narratives that translate those concepts to broad consumer audiences and customer experiences Optimisation Prepare and review separate and consolidated financial statements, including separate and consolidated income statements, separate and consolidated balance sheets, and separate and consolidated cash flow statements Perform financial analysis, modelling, and scenario planning and identify opportunities for growth or cost savings Manage the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting software to accurately record and track financial transactions Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and account reconciliations Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process Prepare and review income tax returns Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and industry-specific requirements Establish and maintain internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the JSE listings requirements Leveraging Culture & Diversity Ability to lead a high impact team and collaborate with different stakeholders Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategies to senior management, board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders Digital Transformation Driving the automation/optimization of financial processes and control platforms Develop consumer-facing content across a variety of segments to publicize the company's annual reports Key leadership attributes The incumbent would need to have t he ability to progress and add continuous incremental value having impact Dealing with complexity Sound pragmatic judgement Self - awareness Achievement orientation As part of the KAL Group Ltd a diversified JSE-listed retail group that operates in agricultural retail, fuel & convenience, and manufacturing markets you will join a group of companies with more than 270 operating units across South Africa and Namibia.
