Overall purpose of the role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a solid financial services background to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and technical abilities with deep business understanding to deliver AI-driven insights and solutions that enhance decision‑making, improve efficiency, and unlock new opportunities in the financial domain. Main responsibilities Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning models tailored to financial use cases such as credit risk assessment, fraud detection, portfolio optimization, customer segmentation, and predictive analytics Extract, clean, and analyze large-scale financial datasets from multiple sources to generate actionable insights Collaborate with stakeholders (finance, risk, compliance, product teams) to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions Develop and deploy natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI models for financial document analysis, chatbots, and automation Ensure models are explainable, interpretable, and compliant with financial regulations and ethical AI practices Monitor and maintain AI models in production, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and performance over time. Present insights and findings to senior management and business partners in a clear, concise, and actionable manner. Stay updated with the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and financial technology trends. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field (Master’s/PhD preferred) Proven experience (3–5+ years) working as a Data Scientist, ideally within the banking, insurance, asset management, or fintech sector Strong proficiency in programming languages: Python, R, or Scala. Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, XGBoost, etc. Proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale structured/unstructured datasets Solid background in financial analytics, risk modelling, and regulatory requirements Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data environments Knowledge of generative AI applications, NLP, and LLM fine‑tuning is an advantage #J-18808-Ljbffr
