Job description We are seeking a diligent and organised Warehouse Shipping Assistant to join our logistics team in Rustenburg. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to our stores and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists and purchase orders. Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and securely packaged. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner (training provided if necessary). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse at all times. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation processes. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimise workflow and resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping role (minimum 1 year). Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly. Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
