Car Rental– Control Room Operator | Agent - Gauteng, East Rand #DriveYourCareerForward and shift gears as a Control Room Operator? Our client is looking for a detail orientated and proactive Control Room Operator / Agent to join their team and play a key role in monitoring and managing vehicle movements across their rental operations. The Control Room Operator is responsible for overseeing the tracking and monitoring of the rental fleet, ensuring vehicles remain within permitted areas, and coordinating with the recoveries and support teams to address any client defaults, accidents, or incidents. This role requires quick, rational decision-making, strong communication skills, and the ability to de-escalate high-pressure situations while maintaining operational control and customer service standards. You will report directly to the Debtor Manager and will work in close coordination with recoveries and operations teams to ensure vehicles are monitored effectively and recoveries or interventions are actioned when required. Remuneration R 12000 – R 15000 per month, depending on experience. Benefits and incentives are offered. Working hours – 12 hours shifts (06 : 00 – 18 : 00) on rotation Duties include Monitor and track the company’s rental fleet using the tracking platform Ensure vehicles remain within authorised geographic boundaries Assist the recoveries team with client defaults and escalations Facilitate towing or roadside assistance in case of accidents or vehicle breakdowns Maintain accurate logs and records of all vehicle movements and incidents Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to resolve issues promptly De-escalate high-pressure or potentially volatile situations with professionalism Contribute to operational excellence and compliance with company policies Requirements Minimum Matric / Grade 12 qualification Previous experience in a control room, tracking, or fleet monitoring environment Strong telephonic and customer communication skills Rational decision-making and problem-solving ability Ability to monitor multiple vehicles and situations simultaneously Basic computer literacy : Excel, Word, Email, Tracking Platforms Calm under pressure and able to de-escalate difficult situations Residing in Gauteng, East Rand If your current experience and skillsets tick majority of the job specification boxes, then : Apply directly now – Send your CV to Feel free to contact Hayley directly on or send a WhatsApp to for more information. https :/ / / profile.php?id= https :/ / / company / motorecruit / ?viewAsMember=true https :/ / linktr.ee / motorecruit Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
