Spinnaker Support has an immediate opening for a Solutions Consultant (SC) to join our team in South Africa. Responsibilities Collaborate with Spinnaker Support Account Executives during opportunity and prospect development, acting as the technical and security subject matter expert on core Spinnaker Support product and service offerings. Participate in the sales process through prospect technical landscape and spend analysis, and technical solution development while addressing all technical concerns. Support both third‑party support and managed services sales pursuits. Advise customers on translating their technical stack into solutions and on alternate methods of support based on experience with SAP ERP stack (exposure to Oracle, VMware is a bonus). Help frame stories and interpret technology challenges into real business solutions and outcomes. Heavily participate in and contribute to the commercial aspects of the solution by drafting support spend estimates and cost prediction models. Drive both technical and financial aspects of the solution by working with other teams across different time zones and often under tight timelines. Proactively adapt to new challenges with minimal supervision and take ownership of developing processes and frameworks suited to the South African region. Read the audience in conversations and tailor talk track or responses accordingly. Play a key role in driving both technical and financial aspects of the solution by collaborating across regions. Demonstrate empathy and foresight in responding to last‑minute or ad hoc requests from management, colleagues, or prospects. Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with in‑region partners around delivery, resale, referral, and license compliance. Lead, own, and collaborate on RFP/RFI/RFQ exercises, ensuring high‑quality and timely submissions. Requirements Experience in a customer‑facing role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect. Excellent problem‑solving skills. Excellent presentation, communication and soft skills with the ability to articulate Spinnaker message to both technical and non‑technical (including CxO level) audience. Ability to listen and work with customers to fully understand the problem or gap facing them and make sure they adopt the best possible solution. Ability to think rationally and creatively to identify opportunities and overcome challenges. Excellent product knowledge (mainly around ECC, S4/HANA) from 10+ years of experience. Thorough understanding of the roadmap for SAP – RISE/GROW, including advantages and disadvantages of moving to RISE. Proficient in SAP applications like FICO, SD, MM, WM, PP (Financials, Logistics, Healthcare) – functional expertise preferred. Well‑versed with industry specific IT processes within SAP. Solid awareness of SAP Cloud strategies. Good knowledge and / or experience with SAP Security.
