Responsibilities Oversee daily nursery operations to ensure a safe, caring, and productive environment. Prepare weekly and monthly staff rotas to maintain adequate staffing levels. Monitor staff attendance and punctuality and address any issues proactively. Review and validate nursery requisitions and supply requests to avoid errors or overordering. Ensure all orders are necessary, cost‑effective, and aligned with the approved budget. Conduct periodic inventory checks of toys, learning materials, and consumables. Follow up on comments, corrections, or pending requisitions to ensure proper resolution. Staff Supervision Development Lead, mentor, and supervise nursery assistants and caregivers. Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback. Identify training needs and coordinate with HR for staff development programs. Foster teamwork, professionalism, and strong communication among all staff. Quality Assurance Child Welfare Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. Maintain structured routines that support children's emotional, physical, and educational development. Oversee hygiene practices and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. Address feedback or complaints promptly and drive continuous improvement. Conduct regular observations of staff–child interactions to maintain high quality standards. Communication Reporting Serve as the primary liaison between nursery staff, HR, and senior management. Provide regular reports on staffing, supplies, operational concerns, and overall performance. Requirements Proven experience in nursery management or supervisory role in childcare. Strong knowledge of early childhood development standards and safety / hygiene protocols. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain a high‑quality childcare environment.
