We're Hiring: Horticulture Specialist

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Horticulture Specialist to join our team. If you have a strong background in plant science, landscape management, and sustainable environmental practices, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the way our green spaces grow and thrive.

What You'll Do:

Develop and maintain planting plans, seasonal garden care programs, and soil improvement strategies

Monitor plant health and apply effective pest and disease management techniques

Support the design and enhancement of landscaped areas to ensure ecological and aesthetic value

Lead and guide grounds staff or volunteers in horticultural best practices

Promote environmentally responsible approaches, including water-wise gardening and biodiversity support

Manage plant inventories, propagation activities, and nursery operations where applicable

What We're Looking For:

Degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, Environmental Science or related field

At least 3 years' hands-on horticultural or landscape management experience

Strong plant identification and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of local plant species, soil conditions, and sustainable growing techniques

Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment

Bonus Points:

Experience in conservation landscapes, estates, precinct green spaces, or organic growing environments

Certification in horticulture or similar speciality
