An established and expanding Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) group is seeking a highly competent and dynamic Financial Manager to lead the finance function at our Head Office in Pietermaritzburg. This is a strategic role, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with outsourced Group Tax specialists and our Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) advisory team. Key Responsibilities Manage the full financial function of the group (multi‑company environment) Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements Ensure full SARS compliance: VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, Income Tax Oversee cash flow forecasting and management across operations, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and development Lead and supervise the Creditors, Debtors, and Payroll departments Analyse and report on corporate and store‑level performance Implement and monitor robust financial controls and processes Support strategic decision‑making and business growth initiatives Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, transport, and procurement teams Required Qualifications & Experience BCom Accounting or Finance (Preferred). Hands‑on experience with a proven track record is non‑negotiable. At least 5 years' experience in a financial management role, ideally within the QSR, FMCG, retail, or manufacturing sectors. Solid experience in group accounting and multi‑entity reporting. Strong working knowledge of SARS eFiling, tax compliance, and payroll systems. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, Sage Evolution, or similar). Strong Excel and data analysis skills. Exceptional leadership, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills. Highly analytical with attention to detail. Effective communicator and collaborator across departments. Deadline‑driven and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
