Job Description

We are looking for a Product Lead with 7+ years' experience in Credit. The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  1. Credit Regulations
  2. Credit Risk
  3. Leading a team
  4. Good understanding of product life cycle
  5. Launching products and campaigns
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop new credit value propositions and enablement processes for portfolio revenue growth.
  2. Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
  3. Identify and utilize opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets.
  4. Develop, encourage, and nurture collaborative relationships across areas of specialization.
  5. Compile reports that track progress and guide the business to make informed decisions.
  6. Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes.
  7. Manage risks in own area of responsibility.
  8. Identify opportunities to expand the customer base with potentially profitable customers.
  9. Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy.
  10. Manage team performance in achievement of business objectives.
  11. Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
  12. Create solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards.
  13. Ensure full understanding of customer needs to deliver quality service.
  14. Ensure customer service solutions are aligned to the business operational plan, organizational values, and service standards.
  15. Communicate how customer service solutions will be implemented and secure buy-in.
  16. Manage and lead strategic projects.
  17. Ensure product knowledge and advice is technically accurate and provide customers with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options.
  18. Ensure resolution of customer queries and complaints timeously and ownership of issues.
  19. Analyze customer feedback to help improve customer service.
  20. Propose ideas to improve customer service.
  21. Align business processes to strategy and clients.
  22. Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovative new value propositions.
  23. Develop new credit initiatives and value propositions that align with the various segment strategies, utilizing current credit products to enable judgmental or scored credit portfolio growth.
  24. Design and implement processes that improve efficiency for any new credit product.
  25. Implement, monitor, and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability.
  26. Ensure the development, alignment, mapping, and implementation of end-to-end processes aligned to the customer journey map.
  27. Research, enable, and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement.
  28. Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimize redundancy.
  29. Monitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximize efficiencies.
  30. Engage with customers to understand their unique requirements, drive value optimization, and advise on the best options for product integration and wealth management.
  31. Manage the growth of the active customer account base.
  32. Coordinate and facilitate all approved strategic projects from inception to final execution, including post-implementation evaluation.
  33. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements in area of accountability.
  34. Ensure the implementation of relevant policies, governance, and practice standards across the business.
  35. Maintain knowledge of relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, and internal compliance procedures and requirements.
  36. Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by the organization and review in response to audit findings and changes.
  37. Develop an understanding of risks and risk management approaches.
  38. Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within the area of specialization and identify risks.
  39. Educate others and make suggestions for improvements.
  40. Network and participate in specialist risk forums where required.
  41. Develop, encourage, and nurture collaborative relationships across areas of specialization.
Qualifications
  1. BCom Degree
  2. BSc Engineering
