Portfolio Manager: Renewable Energy About The Role We are seeking a sales‑driven Portfolio Manager to drive business growth, maximize profitability, and strengthen client relationships. Responsibilities include managing a pipeline of clients and deals, conducting financial assessments, structuring agreements, and ensuring successful transaction execution. Division Merchant West – Asset Finance Responsibilities Play a pivotal role in driving business growth, maximizing profitability, and fostering strong client relationships through effective new business development, rigorous financial analysis, and strategic cross‑selling efforts. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within specific sectors (Aviation, Agriculture, Transport, Technology, Renewable Energy, Yellow Metal, etc.) and develop a robust pipeline of potential clients and deals. Analyze market trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities and conduct thorough assessments of client needs to propose tailored financial solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to structure deals that meet client requirements and company objectives and negotiate terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Evaluate the financial viability of proposed deals and assess their potential impact on overall profitability and ensure timely and efficient execution of new business transactions from initiation to closure. Develop strong relationships with existing clients to uncover additional business needs and promote complementary products or services from within the Merchant West Group (Lending & Advisory products). Measure quality of leads provided to other business units within the Merchant West Group of companies. Quality rather than a quantity approach is required. Qualifications BCom degree with Finance and/or Mathematics, Accounting as a subject(s). Experience 4+ years’ experience in a sales position with a financial background / solution selling. Relationships and client / dealer base within sector. Ability to understand and analyze financial statements. Familiar with National Credit Act. Skills Interest and knowledge in Renewable Energy sector and assets. Strong understanding of Renewable Energy markets, technologies, and regulatory environments. Driver’s License (Code 08).
