HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER Location : - Airport Industrial Park This position will be based at our Coastal Meat Distribution Centre in Airport Industrial Park 2, Cape Town and will report directly to the Dc Manager. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a responsible Health and Safety Manager who will ensure the Health and Safety peformance of our Manufacturing and Distribution centre. To protect our colleagues and members of the public from harm by developing safe systems of work and to prevent accidents and ill health. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Tertiary Qualification in Health and Safety Management Minimum of 2 year experience in a Health and Safety work environment in a managerial role in a Warehouse environment Capable of multi-tasking and professionally interacting with others in a fast-paced- work environment MS Word, Excel KEY REQUIREMENTS Comply with health and Safety legislation Accountable for health and safety performance Establish health and safety standards in the Dc Ensure safe working procedures are implemented Develop a positive health and safety culture Manage emergency procedures Respond to health and Safety – related complaints or issues Accident and investigations Ensure Health and Safety meetings are held as per company procedure PERSON SPEC Ability to use good judgment, initiative, and make good decisions with limited supervision. Must possess moderate level of numeracy and analytical skills. Have proven problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Friendly and able to work in a team.
