Epc Procurement Manager

MAIN PURPOSE Oversee and manage all aspects of the EPC Procurement for a Renewable Energy Project, Solar PV, Wind or Battery Energy Storage. To oversee the process of procurement of an EPC Contractor for a Solar PV, Wind or Battery Energy Storage Plant in NOA. The aim is to ensure value for money and compliance with policies and regulations. This involves strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management. Work to identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure the organization has the resources it needs to operate effectively. Coordinate the activities of all stakeholders to ensure the Request for Proposals contains all the relevant information required by internal stakeholders. This includes Engineering, Construction, Legal, Sustainability Operations and Maintenance, among others. This position reports directly to Head of Engineering and Procurement. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Oversee the EPC Procurement project process, develop procurement plan, coordinate RFP meetings and documents, ensure transparent evaluation criteria, collaborate closely with project engineer, manage clarification processes, lead tender adjudication, shortlist and negotiate contracts, document lessons learned, and report to stakeholders. Engage with potential suppliers, build database, develop qualification criteria, manage relationship, ensure regular engagement and pipeline sharing, maintain internal repository, hand over relevant information, develop price database, deliver weekly reporting, communicate risk, lead procurement of design/engineering consultants, collaborate with technical advisors and project engineers, and monitor supplier performance. EPC PROCUREMENT PROJECT PROCESS Create a procurement plan covering needs analysis to contract signature. Coordinate and manage the RFP internal kick‑off meeting. Manage the RFP process and all documents associated with internal stakeholders. Ensure evaluation criteria is clear, transparent, ethical and includes all stakeholders. Collaborate with project engineer to capture technical specifications. Lead clarification process with potential contractors. Lead tender adjudication and commercial comparison. Eventual shortlist preferred contractors. Conduct contract negotiations until signature. Document lessons learned and share across the organization. SOURCING Actively engage potential suppliers or contractors. Build a database of all potential suppliers. Implement criteria for all qualifying suppliers/contractors. Consult stakeholders when determining shortlist. SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT Lead relationship management activities with suppliers/contractors. Ensure NOA meets them regularly; keep them informed of new projects and pipelines. Include relevant stakeholders in internal discussions. DOCUMENTATION AND HANDOOVER Create and maintain an internal repository for all procurement related activities. Ensure documents are correctly filled and accessible. Record all correspondence between suppliers/contractors. Post‑contract, ensure handover to Construction Division. Stay available for clarifications. Maintain price database. REPORTING Develop EPC Contract Schedule Tracker. Weekly reporting to stakeholders (verbal or written). Report to NOA Investment Committee if required. Communicate risk at early stage. Lead procurement of design/engineering consultants. Collaborate with Group Technical Advisor and Project Engineer. Monitor supplier performance. POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum experience: 5-10 years as a Procurement Manager in power generation industry, preferably renewable energy. Over 3 years site experience in procurement or related activities. Industry knowledge, technical competence, ability to negotiate and coordinate stakeholders. Analyze market trends and supplier performance. Proficiency in project management software tools. Knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures and standards. LEADERSHIP & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Strong written and verbal communication. Communication and consultation. Conflict and crisis management. Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks. Positive attitude, teamwork. Methodical, analytical, problem‑solving, attention to detail.
