Senior Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Finance Manager in the Finance Division. The role requires a very strong candidate who will look after the Clientele Group Reporting and Distribution Channel management. Key Responsibilities: Preparing monthly reports and analysis thereto. Presenting reports to executive members. Group reporting. Regulatory Reporting for Group. Income tax and VAT submissions. Internal Controls management. Understanding the risks affecting the distribution channels and assisting with the implementation of appropriate systems to mitigate these risks. Preparing budgets and forecasts. Monthly processing/reviewing trial balances. Reviewing/preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Reviewing of daily payments and detailed analysis of supporting schedules. Adhoc reports and tasks (e.g. involvement in IFRS17 implementation). Preparing annual financial statements and notes thereto, including accounting policies. Liaison with internal and external auditors. Business partner for distribution channels. Internal and External stakeholder management. Team management. Good IFRS technical knowledge. Interpersonal skills. Critical thinking skills. Ability to work under pressure. Good written and verbal skills. Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Strategic and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong work ethic, motivation and drive. Functional Qualification and Skills: Qualified CA(SA) or CTA with articles. Microsoft suite. Minimum 7 years post article experience and post audit experience. IFRS technical knowledge. Knowledge of the insurance industry would be an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
