What will you do: 

As the Chief Marketing Officer, you will:

  • Shape the Vision: Lead the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies to position the destination as a premier sustainable choice.

  • Build the Brand: Enhance and oversee iconic brands that inspire local and global audiences.

  • Embrace Technology: Pioneer digital transformation using AI, VR/AR, and data analytics to revolutionise destination marketing.

  • Drive Visitor Growth: Expand reach through targeted campaigns, fostering loyalty and unforgettable travel experiences.

  • Champion Inclusivity: Ensure marketing strategies embrace diversity and universal access, making the destination welcoming for all travellers, including persons with disabilities.

  • Collaborate Widely: Partner with communities, businesses, and global organisations to create campaigns that reflect the rich heritage and future aspirations.

  • Deliver Results: Unlock creative revenue streams, enhance market share, and achieve measurable growth in visitor numbers and engagement.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.

  • A background in tourism, destination marketing, or hospitality is highly desirable.

  • Expertise in building and monetising marketing strategies through partnerships and sponsorships.

  • Strong storytelling and communication abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
