Lecturer – School of Education (Part‑Time) – Introduction to EMS School of Education – Part‑Time Lecturer – Introduction to EMS. Direct reporting line to the Head of Education. The role is offered by IIE Varsity College, an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). The vacancy is in the Durban North Campus. Key Performance Areas Lecturing Marking Classroom management Attending meetings Competencies Required Excellent communications skills Excellent organisational skills Excellent time management (meeting dates and deadlines timeously) Minimum Qualification Requirements Honours degree in Business Management, Strategic Management or Entrepreneurship. Alternatively, Bachelors degree in one of the Business Management related fields (e.g., entrepreneurship, contemporary, general, strategic, economics, supply chain/logistics management) to the second year (NQF6) or third year (NQF7) of an undergraduate degree. Alternatively, a Bachelor degree with Business Management or a similarly related field to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA / MBL or a postgraduate diploma in business management or education. Minimum Work Experience Requirements Lecturing experience in general, contemporary and/or strategic management, entrepreneurship, risk management, supply chain and/or logistics management, project management. Work experience as a general or strategic manager, risk manager, entrepreneur, supply chain manager or project manager. Involvement in the process of analysis and components/functions of optimisation in the operational process (Theory of Constraint). Teaching and/Or Lecturing Experience Experience in EMS‑related subjects such as Business Management and/or Economics. Working Conditions This is an Independent Contractor role.
