Job Title : Counter Sales Representative RelieverAbout the Role : We are seeking a motivated Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role is customer-facing and requires someone who is friendly, efficient, and able to provide excellent service while handling sales at the counter. You will assist customers with product enquiries, process sales, and ensure a smooth, professional experience.Key Responsibilities : Greet and assist walk-in customers with product knowledge and advice.Process sales transactions accurately using the Omni Point of Sales system.Handle invoices, receipts, and daily cash-up procedures.Assist account customers with queries, including how to read and understand their statements.Manage quotations, orders, and ensure follow-ups are done on time.Ensure stock availability and coordinate with despatch where needed.Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.Support sales growth by meeting and exceeding counter sales expectations.Step in and perform duties for absent staff (sales, colour mixing, admin, cleaner)Provide counter sales service, ensuring excellent customer experiencePerform and support colour mixing when required. Skills & Attributes : Strong customer service skills with a positive, approachable attitude.Ability to work well under pressure and manage busy counter periods.Quick thinker with problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of invoicing, receipts, and account customer processes.Experience in daily cash-up procedures and balancing.Ability to read and explain customer statements clearlyputer literacy with prior Omni POS experience (advantageous). Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.Requirements : Previous experience in counter sales, invoicing, or customer service.Familiarity with Omni POS or similar sales systems preferred.Reliable, punctual, and professional.Strong sense of responsibility and accuracy with cash handling.Hard Skills (Technical) : Counter Sales ExperienceColour Mixing (Paint industry experience advantageous)POS system usageBasic Excel, Email, and computer literacyDriving and route familiarityHR knowledge : issuing warnings, managing leave, conflict resolutionSoft Skills (People & Personal Traits) : Strong Leadership and Delegation SkillsExcellent Communication (verbal & written)Problem Solving and Decision-Making AbilityHigh Emotional IntelligenceAdaptable and Quick LearnerDependable and HonestSelf-Motivated with InitiativeProfessional under pressurebe able to colour match or ability to learn will be a bonusBranches in which you are required to relieveBrackenfellStrandMitchells PlainAthloneJob Type : Temp to permContract length : 4 monthsPay : R ,00 - R ,00 per month Application Question(s) : will you be able to travel to the branches indicated at any time?
