MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 (Matric). Qualified Diesel/Petrol Mechanic (Trade Test preferred). Minimum 35 years experience in an agricultural or workshop environment. Valid drivers license (Code 8/10); Code 14 and PDP advantageous. Familiarity with farming implements and irrigation systems preferred. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Ability to diagnose and repair diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. Welding, fabrication, and electrical fault-finding experience advantageous. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship. Ability to work independently and under pressure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on tractors, bakkies, trucks, implements, and irrigation pumps. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and perform corrective repairs. Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed timeously and documented. Keep accurate service and repair records for all equipment and vehicles. Manage and maintain workshop tools, equipment, and consumables. Assist in sourcing parts and liaising with suppliers for quotations and deliveries. Support field breakdowns and perform on-site repairs as needed. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop area at all times. Comply with all farm safety regulations and use PPE appropriately. Report repeated faults, equipment misuse, or negligence to management. Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance systems and schedules. ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted
