Introduction This is a Hybrid position in PretoriaWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our team. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. This role serves as the bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment on product vision, strategy, and execution. Duties & Responsibilities Define and clearly communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, customers, and end users. Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, QA, business analysts, etc.) to deliver features and enhancements. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of product requirements and priorities. Continuously monitor progress, track deliverables, and adapt priorities as needed. Evaluate product performance using KPIs, analytics, and user feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Support sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment. Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies and product management practices. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize effectively and balance short-term deliverables with long-term goals. Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello). Desired Skills Experience in (industry-specific domain, e.g., fintech, healthcare, e-commerce). Knowledge of UX / UI principles. Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive decisions.
