Job Title: Client Service Consultant

Reporting Line: Team Leader Onboarding
Location: Westlake, Cape Town

Purpose of the Role

As a Client Onboarding Champion, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for clients, acting as a vital link between clients and the operational teams. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional service throughout the onboarding process for both individual and legal entities while also participating in remediation projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Onboarding Management: Lead the client onboarding process, utilizing KYC applications and unit registry systems to facilitate smooth account setup.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all compliance requirements are met before client accounts are activated, maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Client Engagement: Proactively communicate with clients regarding outstanding information and provide regular updates to enhance the client experience.
  • Account Creation: Create and maintain client accounts in the registry system, ensuring all relevant classifications and tax details are accurately recorded.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Capture and document all regulatory and tax classifications, ensuring client details are consistently up to date.
  • Checklist Management: Update and manage daily onboarding checklists, submitting them for final approval by the Team Leader.
  • Collaborative Compliance: Work closely with compliance and internal audit teams to ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and procedures.
  • Data Verification: Review and validate static data change requests, conducting necessary client verifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Process Implementation: Implement and enhance process controls for auditing purposes, managing timelines and ensuring no aged items are present in queues.
  • Remediation Oversight: Review existing client accounts to address any compliance gaps and ensure all FICA requirements are met.
Required Experience
  • 1-2 years in a relevant onboarding role with a solid understanding of compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with applicable legislation, including FICA, FATCA, and DWT.
Required Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred; Matric as a minimum.
