As our Commercial Manager, you’ll lead the commercial enablement of loyalty and strategic partnerships, ensuring every offer, campaign, and collaboration delivers measurable value. Qualifications 7–9 years of experience in commercial strategy, corporate finance, partnerships, pricing, or investment‑related roles CA(SA) or CFA, or relevant transactional/analytical experience gained in private equity, investment banking, or venture capital. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification (Honours, MBA, or similar) is advantageous. What You Will Be Doing Commercial Strategy & Modelling Build and maintain financial models to assess pricing structures, partnership economics, offer design, and commercial trade‑offs. Evaluate partner proposals, quantify value exchanges, and recommend commercially viable structures. Analyse and forecast commercial performance, including profitability, ROI, customer impact, and risk. Partnership Management & Negotiation Structure and negotiate commercial terms with external partners to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Lead commercial workstreams for new and existing loyalty partners, including due diligence, offer design, and contract negotiation. Support the Loyalty and Strategic Partnerships Lead with partner strategy, commercial positioning, and decision‑making. Offer Design, Pricing & Economic Governance Design pricing and discount mechanisms that balance customer value with sustainable economics. Ensure all partner offers align with Dis‑Chem’s commercial objectives, customer strategy, and margin requirements. Establish commercial guardrails, valuation frameworks, and approval processes for new partner offers. Performance Management & Reporting Develop and implement frameworks to track partner performance, return on investment, and key commercial metrics. Monitor campaign performance, identifying drivers of success, areas of underperformance, and improvement opportunities. Prepare commercial dashboards, insights, and recommendations for senior stakeholders. Cross‑functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Strategic Finance, Data, Analytics & AI, Commercial Decision Intelligence as well as Customer Engagement to implement partner offers and ensure commercial integrity. Support go‑to‑market planning, programme governance, and operational readiness for new partner launches. Ensure contract compliance, revenue integrity, and financial accuracy across all commercial partnerships.
