Responsibilities The ideal candidate must have a basic understanding on designing and installation of commercial solar system. Conduct site audits for the design of Solar PV systems including drawings (SLDs, Panel Layout, Stringing, inverter and earthing layouts), populate a BOQ and prepare a proposal. Project management skills which include management of important projects, managing contractors, procurement of material, invoicing Coordinate the installation and commissioning of industrial and commercial solar systems. Coordinating and participating in bids for solar projects. Regularly updating management of status of various projects and potential opportunities in the market. Staying up to date with industry trends and advancements and integrating them into design processes. Regular client engagements, project feasibility modelling and management of procurement. Identifying potential business opportunities and generating leads. Assist with diagnosing faults and providing aftersales support. Execute all tasks according to company quality standards and uphold workmanship standards as per company procedures. Qualifications and experience Technical Qualification (BEng , Bsc) Postgraduate degree or Masters degree an added advantage Registration with ECSA as a Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech 5 years’ experience in a similar position. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or PVsyst, HOMER and Helioscope. Project management certification will be an added advantage.
