Brief DescriptionApplications are invited for a Faculty Finance and Business Manager for appointment to a full-time position. The successful candidate will report to the Faculty’s Executive Dean. She/he will provide financial/business leadership to the Faculty Executive and will enable the Dean to provide full financial accountability for the Faculty by providing structure and guidance in planning; as well as organising and monitoring the financial outcomes of the Faculty. Responsibilities Budgeting, forecasting and strategic/financial planning Financial management and financial reporting Accounting and control Resource management Management of financial staff including staff training Financial systems development Contracts management Qualifications, Experience And Competencies Required Applicants should have a recognised accounting qualification (preferably a BCom, CA, ACMA or similar) and appropriate skills; possess progressively responsible experience of 5-7 years in a similar position in a complex, computerised environment; demonstrate competence in budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial/business planning; have relevant financial management and accounting skills; and ability to competently manage staff. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills would be important, with an innovative and proactive approach to solving problems. Advantage: Experience in the Higher Education Sector.
