Nexor urgently seeks a Route Manager on site to perform technical duties to plan and coordinate the maintenance of roads in the Thabo Mofutsanyane District Municipality in the Freestate Province. Qualifications and Experience National Diploma or NQF 6 in Civil Engineering with 6 years experience, alternatively 10 years + experience as Route manager on SANRAL RRM projects Must have been a Route Manager on at least 1 SANRAL projects with construction value of more than R 200 million. Knowledge of asphalt patching and surfacing seal construction. Knowledge of COTO and FIDIC Experience of SANRAL projects and ITIS. Experience with BSM construction is preferable. Must be computer literate in MSOutlook, MSTeam and MSProject. Key Accountabilities Project Execution Review of tender documentation and drawings to be undertaken immediately upon appointment. Management of site staff, including PLO, trainees and sub-consultants (materials laboratory, OH&S, EMP, etc.) Report to the Contracts Engineer and liaise with main contractor. Responsible for monthly site, technical and PLC meetings. Responsible for monthly payment certificates. Prepare and submit WAF for approval. Apply the policies and procedures of SANRAL. Record daily diaries of site progress. Prepare monthly progress reports. Applies, adheres, and manages site quality per ISO standards. Monitor and report daily on construction progress ensuring that the project remains within the budget and the construction program. Monitor the quality of the roadworks and other works. Monitor all safety procedures and take decisions to safeguard all employees and the general public. Liaison with landowners, local authorities and communities. Prepare as-built drawings and close out report. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. Excellent written and oral communication skills Sound organisational skills. Problem-Solving Identifies critical issues with ease. Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems. Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets. Must be able to work independently within a team of project personnel Demonstrate ability to read construction programs Achievement orientated Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure Teamwork Facilitates effective team interaction. Acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions. Be able to lead and motivate the site team Provide technical support Be able to transfer his/her skills and experience to the site personnel Client Relations Develops relationships with client personnel that foster client ties. Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings.
