Strategic Support to CEO

As Strategic Support to the CEO, you have the incredibly important task of being a strategic partner, trusted confidant, and professional problem solver. Your days won't always go according to plan, as our client is agile and definitely not predictable.
The successful individual is a brave achiever, who has a high sense of urgency, who is passionate and lively, but who can also be brief and articulate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStakeholder Management
- Build relationships with executives, Board members, and various other stakeholders across the Group.
- Build and develop relationships with all employees.
Identification and Management of Strategic Initiatives
- Develop and oversee strategic business initiatives.
- Independent leadership of special CEO-initiated projects.
- Recognise and initiate new business opportunities.
- Prepare detailed analysis of new initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI projections, and risk assessments.
- Organise workshops and strategy sessions to facilitate deep dives into critical issues.
- Facilitate regular strategy review sessions, ensuring that strategic initiatives are on track.
- Assist in the strategic allocation of resources, ensuring that key initiatives are adequately funded.
Research, Analysis, and Reporting
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards strategic goals.
- Conduct research and regularly provide comprehensive reports on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Continuously monitor the internal and external environment for potential risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise impact on the organisation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- CA / CFA / Honours / Bachelor Business Science / LLB degree.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a specialist role, ideally in corporate / M&A or equity analysis.
- Venture Capital, investments, and private equity experience non-negotiable.
