Finance Assistant – Bryanston GoVacation Africa Location: Bryanston, Johannesburg Type: Office based – regular hours Posted: 7 months ago Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities Ensure accurate reporting of Financials Extracting of Tourplan reports to manage real costs in bookings and margins Ensure correct margins are being reported on bookings by means of various operational reports including costs loaded into prior closed periods Create and Monitor Weekly reports Clearing of flights by means of Intercompany Transactions Assist Financial Reporting Manager with weekly and monthly reporting Creation and Analysis of Profit and Loss Statement Analyse the Debtors Ageing and control there-of including sending Monthly Claims to Agents Compile monthly financial review within TDM and Dertour’s financials Assist with auditors and Operational queries Teamwork To build and maintain good relationships Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when and if required Business Communication Ensure FRM is regularly informed about Financial and Operational performance Communication on an Operational level with Team Leader’s regarding profitability and sales Values Passion – Energy and Excitement and enthusiasm in all we do Innovation – Our desire to make changes by introducing new methods, ideas or product for the benefit of all stakeholders Respect – I value myself and others (stakeholders), the environment and diversity that surrounds me daily Environment – Our responsibility to the natural world and the impact we have on its condition Integrity – Our consistency and honesty based on making decisions, regardless of the situation or consequence Diversity – Believe in Difference*-Value Difference *Age, Gender, Race, Religion, disability or sexual orientation Stakeholder Driven – Our accountability and responsibility towards anyone that affects or is affected through our actions Qualifications And Expertise Matric Minimum 1 year experience in reporting Sage 300 knowledge (or similar) Financial knowledge & Strong Excel skills (Intermediate+) Strong Communication skills Strong Business Acumen Tourplan knowledge would be advantageous Competency Requirements: Personal and Technical A mature approach when dealing with people Attention to Detail and Accuracy Ability to handle controversial or emotional issues objectively and analytically Capacity for dealing with employees at all levels Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people Excellent planning, Organisational, analytical and decision‑making skills Good conflict resolution skills Good oral and written communication skills Integrity and Honesty Good interpersonal skills Project Management skills Good Problem solving skills Excellent Organisational skills Time Management Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Word, and strong skills on MS Excel #J-18808-Ljbffr
