Credit Specialist Reference: PC -RC-2 Our client based in Durbanville is looking for a Credit Specialist with 2 – 3 years experience in the financial services/ lending industry to join their team. Duties & Responsibilities EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PermanentSECTOR: FinanceBASIC SALARY: R50 000START DATE: A.S.A.P / Immediate REQUIREMENTS: 2-3 years of experience working in the financial services and/or lending industry Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and credit risk management software Honours degree in Finance / Accounting / Mathematics or related Preferred: CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA DUTIES: Review and analyse credit applications from customers to determine their creditworthiness Conduct financial analysis for large loans, assessing the creditworthiness of applicants Evaluate risk factors associated with each credit application Ensure strict adherence to the credit policy and credit processes Continuously evaluate and refine the credit granting processes Facilitate alignment among reviewers and foster effective communication Provide input into monthly reviewer schedules Regular catch-up meetings with the Analyst Lead Monitoring the performance of existing loans Provide input for the monthly credit reporting Conduct comprehensive reviews of defaulted loans Ensuring diligent quality monitoring of reviews Design and maintain the training induction program Oversee the onboarding process and provide training for new Reviewers Conduct follow-up training sessions with new Reviewers Keep the training manual for new Reviewers up to date Offer guidance and mentorship to Loan Analysts Contribute to monthly workshops Ensure adherence to standards in training sessions Manage all administrative aspects related to training Stay up-to-date with industry trends and share knowledge Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams Maintain a customer-centric approach while managing credit-related inquiries HOURS: Mon – Fri: 08:00 – 17:00 Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at today.
