Responsibilities Improving the availability of the plant Technical support to both the Instrumentation and maintenance sections Maintenance and development of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and networks Knowledge of temperature, flow measuring and control equipment Supervision over artisans Planning, organizing & signing off of daily job cards and other jobs to be done Inspect the quality of jobs done by artisans Managing of specific projects on the plant Inspect equipment to be repaired by external providers Inspect, monitor and control all electrical equipment Initiate and supervise general cleaning of equipment and workplace Responsible to ensure compliance to all applicable environmental and safety legislation Provide technical guidance and advice to artisans and production personnel and contractors Perform callout / standby duties permanent or non-permanent nature if and when required Management of Plant safety Uphold a working environment to substantiate the directives of the OHSAct Qualification National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Instrumentation Experience and Requirements Minimum 5 years post training experience in maintenance environment PC Literate (Windows, MS Office and SAP PM) Knowledge of boilers, compressors, turbines and water treatment plants will be advantageous Personal Attributes Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to supervise and work in a team and be able to give direction Good administration Skills A proven ability to develop and maintain good human and interpersonal relations at all levels Reflect traits like integrity, resilience, persistence, creativity and flexibility Sound diagnostic and problem solving ability #J-18808-Ljbffr
