Introduction ArcelorMittal is looking to appoint a Junior Manager Assessment of budget requirements, compilation, approval, and control of cost center Development and implementation of maintenance strategies to optimize plant availability Control over the execution of maintenance activities Develop and train workforce Develop and maintain excellent employee and union relationships Control of Capex (Capital) budget Responsible for getting projects completed on time within budget Responsible for the maintaining and monitoring of the maintenance systems and department budget Develop and maintain departmental technical expertise Manage risk to minimize exposure to safety, health, environmental and operational hazards Instill a continuous improvement culture and manage continuous improvement Liase with vendors, suppliers, internal workshops on a frequent basis Be able to deal with deviations from planned tasks. Ensure on time ordering and availability of spares/tools/equipment. Ensure the delivery of spares and equipment according to plan. Compile scope of works and evaluation of tenders. Plan and schedule maintenance, manufacturing and reconditioning tasks. Shutdown planning and task tracking Responsible for the compilation of area Ghantt Charts for monthly shut downs Control of inventory (Consumables and critical spares) Determine failure trends, investigate and record for future references and improvements. Support efficient execution of breakdown tasks. Support and assist with the development of maintenance strategies Required to work overtime and standby duties Qualification :National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Mechanical Engineering Preferably a Management Development Program Experience and Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Pojects) and SAP Valid drivers license. Relevant experience in supervision and managing of people Understanding and knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems Personal Attributes :Customer orientated Results orientated Co-ordinating Skills Analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communications, negotiation and presentation skills Ability to implement plans Good interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure to relate and co-operate with plant personel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
