Come be a part of our missionThe Engineering & Sciences organization supporting the Advanced Navigators business area at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.The Software I&T Engineer plays a key role in technical planning, system integration, and the verification and validation of embedded software systems. Their primary responsibility is the integration and verification of software for the state-of-the-art M-code capable Embedded GPS / Inertial Navigation System (EGI-M). This role ensures that the software under testing meets all system-level requirements. The Software I&T Engineer collaborates closely with the Chief Engineer, Integration & Test leads, and software development teams to maintain high standards and deliver reliable solutions.What You'll get to Do : Conduct comprehensive verification of software requirements to ensure alignment with system specificationsDesign and develop detailed and robust test cases, test scripts, and test procedures to validate software functionality and performanceCreate and deliver clear, concise, and effective test procedures to ensure that software test activities are executed accurately, with resulting data conforming to specified requirementsWork with various Agile teams to ensure all requirements are verified through inspection, analysis, demonstration, or test often by providing test and data reduction scriptsDevelop, maintain, and optimize data reduction scripts to enhance efficiency and streamline validation processesMinimum 10% travel to be expected (to customer, supplier, and other Northrop Grumman locations)Basic Qualifications for Software I&T Engineer : Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or another STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6 months of experience in Software Integration & Test Engineering experience, or related technical fieldsProficiency with MathWorks development tools, including MATLAB and SimulinkHands-on experience with one or more communication protocols such as MIL-STD- , ARINC- or RS-Experience integrating hardware and software in a lab environmentSkilled in writing both automated and manual test procedures to validate system functionalityExtensive background in software integration, and testing processesExperience supporting test investigations and debugging effortsDemonstrated excellent written and oral communication skillsUS CitizenshipAbility to obtain / maintain a DoD Secret ClearanceAbility to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CAPreferred Qualifications : Strong hands-on experience with Ethernet protocolsExperience with GPS and Inertial navigation systemsProficient in applying DO-C safety-critical software verification processes, ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace and defense industry standards.Well-versed in development methodologies and tools, with practical experience using JIRA for issue tracking and team collaborationSkilled in utilizing IBM Rational DOORS for requirements management and traceability throughout the development lifecycleActive DoD Secret ClearancePrimary Level Salary Range : $74, $, The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
