Purpose The principal purpose of the Network Specialist is to provide persistent support of the networked ecosystem of PayInc and provide consultancy support associated to the networked environment to PayInc clients. Stakeholder Engagement External clients: Banks (South African and International), SARB and other Government related entities, Vendors Internal clients: Exco Manco, Testing Department, Project office, CNP Dev Department, RealtimeSwitch Department, Infrastructure Department, Database Department, EUC Support, Security & Risk Department, Human Capital, Legal Department, Architecture Department, Operations, Change Management, Incident Management, Cloud Infrastructure Department Key Responsibilities Network Architecture Design vs. operation functionality Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) Cisco Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Container (micro-services) networking Cloud networking Network Configuration & Support (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, WAN, LAN, Spanning Tree, Protocols, IPS, Proxies, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls, Access control, VPN, Logging, Monitoring, Capacity Planning, System hardening techniques, Compression, Voice Recording mediums, Sniffer technologies, PEN Testing, Video Conferencing, Voice) Networked support for all devices that connect to a network Alignment to PCI requirements Apply security principles across the network Align and execute against divisional business strategy In-depth understanding of networking products Change control, Incident and risk management Project management Understanding of system integration Cross-technology integration Qualifications / Knowledge Appropriate certification, diploma and/or degree in Information Technology Certification in networking (CCNA, CCNP) is an advantage Knowledge of the Financial / Cloud Ecosystem is advantageous Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in related field Experience in networking technologies, preferably cross platforms (SDN, container networking, cloud networking, security, routing and switching, load balancers, web application firewalls, voice, storage) Skills: Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, Ability to work in a team, Good reasoning and decision-making skills, Ability to work under extreme pressure Experience in cloud computing – deploys, debugs, and executes initiatives related to cloud computing, Cross-vendor experience required Seniority level : Not Applicable Employment type : Full-time Job function : Information Technology #J- #J-18808-Ljbffr
